Borden & Remington has a multitude of buildings throughout its Fall River, MA, complex. Our prime southeastern New England location is a key asset to any business. Most buildings are used as storage facilities, manufacturing plants, and office space.

We currently have space available for your processing needs. We offer rental space on annual lease agreements and have the infrastructure necessary to provide our customers with the services needed to succeed in their business endeavors. We currently rent space to Federal Express, G&S Rubber Company, Heveatex Corporation, Atlantex Corporation, and many smaller businesses. We offer a wide range of amenities which include steam, air, water, and truck scale for shipment billing needs.

Manufacturing space includes a separate specialty chemical manufacturing building which includes two (2) fifteen hundred (1500) gallon and four (4) four thousand (4000) gallon glass lined reactors. These reactors have a working pressure of 100 psi on the vessels and 90 psi on the jacket. All reactors are rated for full vacuum and their design temperature is 500 degrees Fahrenheit. All reactors have glass lined agitators and baffles except for one of the four thousand gallon type which has a stainless steel agitator and baffle. All reactors possess a Philadelphia mixer. The motor horsepower is 20-25 which allows us more flexibility in the mixing area; one reactor has a variable speed drive.

One four thousand gallon glass lined reactor has a sparger ring which enables us to introduce gaseous mixtures while the reaction takes place. The glass lined feature of these vessels, enables us to wash down the reactors quickly when a change products is necessary. A safety rupture disc (50psi.) is installed on all reactors to prevent over pressurization. All have thermo welds in the baffles that give accurate temperature readings and produce a chart with every run. All piping is stainless steel and pumps are centrifugal or air driven.

Borden & Remington also has a spray dryer on our facility which employs a direct fired gas combustion system. We can achieve inlet temperatures in excess of 500F with outlet temperatures adjustable to varying feed rates. The liquid product is fed to the orifice and core by a Gaulin homogenizing pump to obtain desired particle size distribution. The powder is then carried through a cyclone which separates the fines from the powder to be bagged. The fines collect in the bag house and are reconstituted for drying. Our bagging system is on load cells to distribute proper weight in the bags throughout the drying operation. All components are stainless steel for corrosion resistance. The spray dryer building contains three 24,000 Gallon glass-lined storage tanks. Products can be received into these tanks by either truck or rail.
